Forum für Künstlernachlässe (FKN), e.V.
(short-english version below)

Forum for the Estates of Artists

A non-profit association is engaged in preserving the works of artists from in and around Hamburg. Time and again, the oeuvres of artists are torn apart and scattered to the winds before they are catalogued in their entirety, or works are stored under desolate circumstances. There is often a lack of facilities, expertise or funding. All of this impedes an academic assessment and the building of a complete stock of knowledge about our artists and their oeuvres. As museums are most of the time also unable to house entire estates of artists, this situation calls for an institution exclusively dedicated to preserving the works of artists.
You can help us with this task by becoming a member of our association or by your support through donations.
